Getting started
Set up your account, add your first vendors and let GreenlightSubs start chasing their paperwork.
GreenlightSubs keeps track of your vendors' certificates of insurance, licenses and W-9s. It emails each vendor a private upload link, reminds them before their documents expire, and shows you who is covered and who isn't.
The Free plan covers up to 5 vendors and needs no credit card.
Set up your account
- Go to Start free and enter your company name, your name, your email and a password (at least 8 characters).
- Open the email we send you and click Confirm my email. Until you do, emails to your vendors wait in a queue. See Confirming your email.
- You land on the Add a vendor page. Add your first sub or supplier, or go to Import / export to bring in a spreadsheet.
- Open Settings and check the document types. Every new account starts with General Liability COI, Workers' Comp COI and W-9 marked as required, and Auto Liability COI and Contractor License as optional.
- Still in Settings, check the Reply-to email. When a vendor replies to one of our emails, the reply goes to this address. It starts as the email you signed up with.
What happens next
- When you add a vendor with an email address, you can send them an upload link straight away.
- The vendor opens the link, uploads their documents and types in the expiration dates. They don't need an account or a password.
- You get an email, and the upload appears under Review uploads. You check it and approve or reject it.
- Once a day, GreenlightSubs checks every vendor and emails anyone whose documents are missing, expired or about to expire. See How reminders work.
Want to look around first?
On the home page, click Try the live demo. You get a private sandbox filled with sample vendors. Nothing in it is emailed to anyone, and it's deleted after 24 hours.
